Ticket payouts and refunds
Payouts go to your account through Stripe. Refunds follow the policy you set.
- Set up payouts once. Stripe handles your identity and bank details, and Disco never holds your money beyond its fee.
- You need verified payouts before a ticketed event can go on sale.
- Card processing is included in Disco's fee, so it never comes out of your payout, unless you cancel a ticketed event (see Refunds).
- Once tickets sell, the price can't change, because buyers already paid it.
Refunds
Pick a policy per event: full refund if you cancel, no refunds, or your own wording. If you cancel an event, buyers are refunded in full, and everyone who RSVP'd or bought a ticket is notified.
Card networks don't return the processing on refunded charges, so when you cancel a ticketed event you cover it (2.9% + 30¢ per refunded order), taken from your next payout. Your event's page shows the amount.
Ticket sales open when Plans launch in the Disco app.
