How it works.

4 steps. Disco handles approvals, verification and payments.

01

Pick what and where

Any kind of event: a launch, live music, trivia, a tasting, a class, a run, a market, a meetup. Hosting a watch party? Link the game. Choose your venue, or a place that's OK with you hosting.
02

Free or ticketed

Take free RSVPs, or set a ticket price, a cap and a refund policy. The buyer pays the ticket fee by default, so you keep your full price.
03

Share it

Disco Crews and people nearby find it in Disco and get tickets in a couple of taps. Share the link anywhere; people without the app can still buy.
04

Check-in and payouts, handled

Tickets check in at the door with the Disco app. Money goes to your payout account through Stripe; you see sales and refunds in one place.

The same Plans people already use

Your event is a Disco Plan with a ticket, whatever kind of event it is. People see when it starts, who's going and how many tickets are left, then get a shareable Locked in ticket.

Where your event shows up

Post once and it's live across the Disco app, when Plans launch. Organic by default: you don't pay to be seen, and every share brings more people in.

  • 02Plans Discover in your cityPublic events show to everyone browsing Plans in your city.

Good to know

Who sees my event?
Public events show on Plans Discover in your city, on the map, your venue or business page and search (game-day events also on the team's pages), and your followers can be notified. Unlisted events are only for people with the link and the Disco Crews you share them with. Anyone with the link can RSVP or buy without the app.
What kinds of events can I host?
Almost anything people get together for: launch parties, live music, trivia and game nights, tastings, classes and workshops, runs and workouts, markets and pop-ups, meetups, watch parties and tailgates.
What does claiming my venue do?
It's free. Once Disco verifies you manage the place (usually within a few business days), you get a Verified check, edit the venue's profile, a verified pin on the map with a live count, followers, venue activity totals, and you can host events as your venue and run perks and activations there. It manages the venue's Disco page, not the Disco Crews or events that meet there.
When can I sell tickets?
You can set up events and free RSVPs now. Ticket sales open when Plans launch in the Disco app, and your events are ready to go the day they do.
Who pays the ticket fee?
By default the buyer pays it on top of your price, so a $25 ticket costs them $27.74 and you get the full $25. You can choose to absorb it instead.
How do refunds work?
You pick the policy for each event: a full refund if you cancel, no refunds, or your own terms. If you cancel, Disco refunds buyers under that policy automatically.
Can I host at a venue I don't own?
Yes, with the venue's OK. Disco checks with them before it goes live. If you run the venue, claim it once and host there anytime.
Do I need a subscription?
No. The account is free. Free events cost nothing; paid events pay a fee per ticket sold.
