Disco for Business Terms

Draft for review · Last updated October 13, 2026 · Not yet in effect

These Business Terms apply when a business, brand, venue or organization ("you") uses Disco for Business at business.godisco.app to sponsor Disco Crews, run Activations or Promotions, claim a venue, or host events. They add to the Disco Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If these Business Terms and the Terms of Service conflict for business use, these Business Terms control. "Disco", "we" and "us" mean Disco Technologies Inc.

1. Your business account

  • Creating an account is free. There is no subscription or setup fee. You pay only for the campaigns you run.
  • You must be authorized to act for the business you register, and keep your details accurate.
  • Verification. We check that your business is real before you can send paid campaigns, usually by matching your work email to your website, otherwise by manual review. Until then you can browse and save drafts.
  • Levels. Accounts are Registered (profile, browsing, drafts), Verified (paid campaigns and billing) and, if you claim one, Claimed & verified venue (venue tools).
  • You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping sign-in access secure.

2. Acceptable businesses and content

  • We don't accept campaigns from tobacco or vape, cannabis, adult products or services, weapons, or political campaigns. Alcohol brands and sportsbook or gambling businesses need extra review and may be limited.
  • Your logo, wording, links, offers and promo codes must be accurate, lawful and yours to use. No misleading claims, hateful or harassing content, or content targeting minors.
  • Everything paid on Disco is labeled Sponsored. You may not disguise paid content as organic content or ask a Disco Crew to do so.
  • We review campaigns before they go live and may decline, pause or remove a campaign that breaks these terms, with a reason.

3. Sponsorships

  • You choose a Disco Crew and an amount of Crew funding (minimum $50). Disco's fee is 15% of the funding, at least $10, added on top; the Crew receives 100% of the funding.
  • A sponsorship needs the Disco Crew organizer's acceptance and Disco's approval. You pay only after both.
  • A sponsorship runs for 30 days, one time or monthly until you or the organizer cancels. Each month is funded, verified and refunded on its own.
  • Gathering requirement. The funding unlocks when the Disco Crew completes one qualifying real-world gathering (enough eligible members verifiably checked in together at one place) within the period. The required number is set and locked when the sponsorship is approved.
  • If the Disco Crew doesn't gather in time, the full amount comes back to you, Disco's fee included, as Disco credit by default (see section 8). Placements that ran meanwhile are at no cost.
  • Unlocked funding is paid to the Disco Crew's one designated, verified recipient. Disco doesn't pay individual members.
  • Optional merch or product kits are arranged directly between you and the organizer; Disco only passes along instructions and answers and isn't responsible for delivery.

4. Activations

  • You set a reward per Disco Crew (or a group perk), a maximum number of Crews, a place and a time window.
  • Funded rewards. At checkout you reserve the maximum: all rewards plus Disco's maximum fee (20% of the rewards, at least $10). After the window closes, you pay only the rewards actually earned plus a fee of 20% of those rewards (at least $10 once at least one Disco Crew qualifies). If no Disco Crew qualifies, you pay nothing, fee included.
  • How the maximum is reserved. If the activation ends within 7 days of payment, Disco places a hold on your card for the maximum and, after the window closes, captures only what was earned; the rest of the hold is released and never charged. Longer activations are charged the maximum upfront, and what isn't earned is returned after the window closes (as Disco credit by default; see section 8).
  • A Disco Crew qualifies when the required number of its members check in together at the activation venue during the window. Each Crew can qualify once per activation. Disco never pays more than your reserved maximum.
  • Group perks cost a flat $49 campaign fee. You are responsible for honoring the perk as described; Disco displays it but doesn't verify redemptions.
  • Merchant-specific perks need authority over the venue (see section 6).
  • Cancelling before an activation starts releases the hold, or refunds the charge, in full. Once it has started, it can be paused but claimed spots stay held until the window ends.

5. Promotions

  • A Promotion places your offer on the Perks pages of the Disco Crews you pick, labeled Sponsored. Price is fixed per campaign, based on the members of the Crews you choose (currently 20¢ per member per 30 days, $49 minimum). There's no bidding.
  • Disco Crews may turn off business perks or block categories; we'll tell you if a Crew can't take your perk before you pay.
  • We report delivery and engagement (views, clicks, code copies). We don't guarantee sales, conversions or any business result.
  • Delivery guarantee. If, by the end of a promotion, fewer unique members viewed it than 10% of the members you paid to reach, we return the shortfall as Disco credit, in proportion (for example, half the guaranteed views returns half the price).
  • Disco shares 10% of what a promotion earns with the Disco Crews that carried it, out of Disco's revenue. It doesn't change your price.
  • Cancelling refunds unused whole days.

6. Claiming a venue

  • You may claim a venue you own, manage or market for. You'll give your identity and role and, usually, documents such as a business license. We review claims manually and may ask for more information.
  • A verified claim lets you manage that venue's Disco profile (hours, photos, description, amenities), shows a Verified badge, and unlocks venue tools such as venue-hosted events, merchant perks and venue activity totals.
  • A claim manages the venue's Disco profile only. It doesn't give you ownership or control of the Disco Crews, Plans or events associated with the venue.
  • We may decline or revoke a claim, for example if information is inaccurate or another party shows a better right to manage the venue. A declined claim can be resubmitted after 30 days.

7. Events and ticketing

Hosting ticketed events is also governed by the Seller Terms.

8. Payments, refunds and taxes

  • Prices are shown in U.S. dollars before you pay. During our managed launch, payment may be collected through a secure payment link; card checkout through our payment processor follows. Card data is handled by the processor, never stored by Disco.
  • Disco credit. Money that comes back to you under sections 3–5 is returned as Disco credit by default: the full amount, applied to your next purchase. You can switch to refunds to your original payment method in Billing settings at any time, and ask for any unused credit back on your card. Credit has no cash value beyond that and doesn't expire while your account is open.
  • Card refunds go to the original payment method. Processing costs that can't be recovered are absorbed by Disco.
  • You're responsible for taxes that apply to your purchases, other than taxes on Disco's own income.
  • If a payment is disputed or charged back without a valid reason, we may pause your campaigns until it's resolved.
  • If you dispute a charge and the dispute is decided against you, you pay the payment processor's dispute fee (currently $15 per dispute), which we may deduct from any Disco credit or charge to your card on file.

9. Data and privacy

  • Disco Crew data is shown as totals. For sponsorships, activations and promotions you see counts (members, people who gathered, views, clicks), never names, contact details or anyone's location. Groups under five are never shown.
  • Event hosts see their attendee list (names, RSVP status, attendance) and contact details that web guests chose to share, because the RSVP form tells guests their information goes to the host. You may use that information only to run and follow up on that event, and must honor opt-outs.
  • Don't try to identify, contact or target individual Disco users outside the tools we provide. See our Privacy Policy.

10. Reporting

Gatherings are verified from members' check-ins. Click and view counts come from Disco's tracked links and placements. Sales or revenue you enter yourself are your own figures. Reports are provided as-is and may be corrected if we find an error.

11. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of your brand assets and grant Disco a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display them as needed to run your campaigns and show them in your reports. Disco keeps all rights in the platform.

12. Suspension and ending your account

You may close your account anytime; live campaigns finish or are cancelled under the rules above. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, fraud, abuse or legal risk, and will refund amounts owed for campaigns not delivered.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Disco isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Disco in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that can't be limited by law.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, tell you in advance by email or in the portal.

15. Contact
